How to introduce someone you know
to Citywide Financial Partners
Our clients often want to introduce us to someone they know. This page sets out how introductions typically work and what to expect. There is no obligation on you, or on them.
Who we’re for
We support people throughout the UK who value clear, thoughtful financial guidance to make the most of their wealth – by having it power the life they want to lead. Life usually presents a few pivotal moments when the path shifts – and typically, this means money is in motion or soon will be. We’re often introduced to people when they’re:
- Approaching a promotion
- Navigating complexity when it comes to how they earn income, such as becoming an equity partner
- Experiencing a major life transition, such as inheritance, divorce, loss
- Thinking about long‑term family plans or intergenerational wealth
- Planning for retirement and wanting to feel prepared
- Looking for a more long-term, thoughtful relationship with an adviser
- Selling a business or stepping back from one
If someone you know is experiencing something similar, an exploratory conversation can be useful, even if they decide not to work with us.
How to make an introduction
Fill in their details below and we’ll get in touch with them.
What happens after this?
We’ll arrange a brief initial call to understand what’s going on for them. A few things we’ll always do:
- Keep things pressure‑free. It’s simply a conversation to see whether we’re a good fit for them
- Respect confidentiality. We won’t share anything they tell us with you, or vice‑versa
- Protect their time. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so. Usually, we’ll try to point them towards something that might suit better
- Offer structure. If it looks useful to continue, we’ll explain the next steps and expected timings with them
- We do not look at figures and products at this stage. We’re not that kind of firm.
Instead, we dive into ambitions, life dreams, goals and needs, looking at who they are and how they want to live their life. Our aim is to give people a sense having someone in their financial corner.
Alternative methods
If you prefer, you can share this page with them and they can fill it in themselves, or you can email your adviser directly.
What a first conversation feels like
Clients tell us our first meetings feel calm, grounded and help to make sense of what can be a tangle of different thoughts and worries, while for some this feels more aspirational as they look towards their goals.
A note on privacy and respect
Introductions are always handled with great care and discretion. We never assume consent; we only make contact where it is explicitly welcomed. Your relationship with us remains completely separate from any relationship we may form with someone you introduce.
We do not incentivise our clients for introductions. However, as a small and independent Financial Planner, we are always grateful when people who take the time to spread the word.
